COALITION.

THE BUDGET DEFERRED. The Budget Is practically ready for presentation to Parliament, but the Government is naturally waiting for the result of the invitation to the Opposition to be represented in a National Ministry. It is possible, of course, that if a combination Cabinet is arranged for the period of war, the present draft of the Budget will have some important alterations. It is understood that the Opposition will again meet on Wednesday tor further discussion of the Government’s proposals. These are now fairly definite. Room is left for readjustments in matters of detail, but, in the main, the Government has shown its mind clearly to the Opposition.
