FULEER’S PICTURES,
“THE ADVENTURES OF KATHLYN.”
The second series of the worldfamous serial picture, “The Adventures of Kathlyn,” will be screened at the Town Hall this evening. You remember how Kathlyn was forced to occupy an unwelcome throne in compliance with the scheming councillors of a fanatical people. The High Priest proposes to go on with the ceremony of marrying her toUmballab, but she resists. The week soon passes, and Kathlyn must submit to two ordeals with wild animals. Kathlyn is led into the arena, the door is opened and the lions rush in where Kathlyn in her robes is a shining mark. Other pictures are: “On the Frontier of Tibet,” interest ; “The Making of Him,” drama; “The Dost Cord,” comedy; “Australian Gazette,” topical ; “His Taking Ways,” Keystone comic. MONDAY & TUESDAY.
A special feature of Monday's change of programme is a big Keystone, featuring Chas. Chaplin and Roscoe At buckle in “The Rounders." These clever comedians appear as a couple of genial gags, that have had slightly too much to d 1 ink. Their angry wives following them causes a hurricane of laughter. The audience are delirious when the comedians decide to go rowing and the boat becomes swailiped. Supporting items of exceptional merit constitute a really first class programme. ROYAL PICTURES. The star feature film at the Royal to night is by the Neptune Film Company, and is entitled “Harbour Eights.” It is a svviitly-moving drama, carrying with it all the tang and sweetness of the sailor’s life. The story was written by George R. Sims and Henry Peltitt, which should be sufficient guarantee that it is something above the ordinary. No expense was spared by the producers in mounting, and the picture is good enough for star position on any programme. Other films are: “Australian Gazette,” showing with a thoroughness many events of our sister colonies; “Believer in Dreams,” a splendidly-told story of a society girl and a singer; “Stanley, the Lion Killer,” a comedy that fairly bubbles with laughter from start to finish ; and “The Servant Girl’s Legacy,” comic. Also the eighth series of “Trey O’ Hearts,” more exciting than ever. Monday : “Love’s Sunset,” and “God’s Own Country.”
