It affords those interested in the dairying industry an opportunity of getting into touch with the latest in all that appertains to the welfare of the cow, butter and cheese manufacture, etc, The display of dairying machinery and labour-saving appliances is simply marvellous, and practical demonstrations in the huge building set apart for this purpose is of incalculable educational benefit to .the farmers who attend from, all parts of the Island. The fruit, farm produce and home industries exhibits are very fine, and although the show caters particularly for the dairy farmer, the welfare of the orchadist, apiarist, poultry keeper, and even the housewife, is not overlooked. There are athletic contests, physical displays by school children, and a whole collection oi side shows to keep the visitor interested and amused. We must not overlook the State Experimental Farms’ fine display. Altogether the Winter Show is a grand educational event for the man on the land, and should not be missed by him on any account.
