HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The. High Commissioner cabled yesterday at noon as follows : —■ The hemp market is quiet, only small business doing. The Manila output continues large owing to stocks of the old grading being shipped before its export is prohibited by law coming into lorce at the end of June. The output of Manila for the week was 28,000 bales. Manila is quoted at £ 36. New Zealand : There is a . limited demand for near positions but forward is neglected. Good fair jQ 32 10s, high point grade ,£3l to £■sl 10?, low point fair £1 per ton less. The stock of New Zealand hemp at the end of May was 553 tons.
