Wounded. Amount previously acknowledged 15 n 3 Mrs Fraser’s afternoon, handed to Girl’s Guild 7 12 7 Mrs Raiue’s afternoon, balance handed to Girl’s Guild 6 6 Foxton Racing Club 100 0 o H. Greig, handed to Ladies Guild 2 10 6 Young Men’s Club, handed to Girl’s Guild 6186 /132 19 4 Hospital Ship. Amount previously acknowledged 500 Saunders Bros. 220 £720 In a letter to the Mayor from Mr H. Greig, the writer states : “I desire to donate monthly for the relief of distress occasioned by the war and shall be pleased if you will, iu your official capacity as Mayor, receive the amounts and pass them on to funds which will be indicated with each remittance. Kudosed herewith please find cheque value representing contribution for June, which please divide equally between the Belgian Relief Fund and the Ladies Sewing Guild, the latter to be applied to the purchase of material for making into garments etc.”
