PUBLIC MEETING.

MASONIC HALL, WEDNESDAY EVENING NEXT. The Mayor, at the request of the Mayor ot Levin, invites the citizens of Foxton to attend a public meeting in the Masonic Hall at 7.30 o’clock on Wednesday evening next to hear Professor Cardston and Mr Hill, of Wellington, on the claims of the Wellington Queen Competition in aid of the lunds for the relief of our wounded soldiers and sailors. The object is to make a united district effort on behalf of this fund, and it is desired that Foxton should be included. It is hoped that every one who can make it convenient will attend.
