WEDDING.
BUG LASS—MUNRO. A wedding which created a good deal of local interest took place in the Presbyterian Church yesterday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr James Buglass, eldest son of Mrs Buglass, of Foxtou, and the late William Buglass, of Edinburgh, and Miss Jessie, third daughter of Mrs Munro of Foxton and the late Mr Munro, of Feilding. The interior of the church was artistically decorated for the occasion by the lady friends of the bride. The Rev J. M. Thomson, M.A. performed the ceremony and the service was fully choral. Mrs Claris presided at the organ. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr R. Munro. Mr John Buglass officiated as best man and Miss Rose Munro as bridesmaid. The bride wore a dress of cream radianta with cream silk Insertion, and hat to match, and carried a bouquet of narcissi and fern. The bridesmaid was attired in cream serge with silk trimmings, and black velvet hat, and carried a bouquet of autumntinted leaves and chrysanthemums. After the ceremony the wedding party left the church, amidst showers of confetti, for Mr Ferreau’s tea rooms where the breakfast was held. The usual toasts were honoured after which Mr and Mrs Buglass were motored to Palmeiston en route to New Plymouth, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling dress was of a brown heather mixture tweed with brown felt hat with saxe plume. The presents were both numerous, useful, and costly. We join in wishing the couple health and prosperity.
