Athens, May 24. The Turks have been largely reinforced by boih men and guns, and over 200,000 are now opposing the Allies. The main reserves are on the Asiatic shores, and are sent across the Narrows as each attack fails. The enemy’s fleet is actively trying to shell our positions by indirect Are from sheltered parts in the Narrows. The struggle in the southern portion of the peninsular baffles description, and the Peninsula looks like an inferno of shrieking shells. It is estimated that the Turkish losses are 80,000, ' — Cairo, May 25. It is narrated that the Turks are now much less prepared to meet the Australians and New Zealanders than they were at Sedd-ul Bahr.
