THE BRICK AREA.

Al last night's Council meeting the Town Clerk said that recently Mr I’erreau applied lor permission to make a slight addition to one of the outbuildings behind his premises in Main Street. The necessary permit was issued but on inspecting the building subsequently he found that Mr Perreau was practically erecting a new building. It was within the brick area, and he (Town Clerk) wanted an instruction from the Council as to whether brick walls would have to be erected or not. The Mayor said that all new buildings in the brick area must have brick walls, and it was decided that Mr Perreau Ire notified to this effect.
