WOMENS’ PEACE CONGRESS.
HMDS IN UPROAR
A THRILLING I NCI DEN i\ Amsterdam., May 3. The Women’s Peace Congiess at The Hague ended in uproar. The German delegates controlled the gathering, and lode roughshod over the protest of two Lnglish delegates against resolutions favourable to Germany. The Congress adopted a resolution demanding immediate peace. London, May 3.
There was a thrilling incident when the Belgian delegates, who had crossed the frontier on foot, entered- They were loudly cheered.
The British delegates declared that the Suffragists were anxious to go to the front to fight. The Belgians protested against peace without justice. The Conference sympathetically listened to a heartrenderiug story of injustice to Belgium, and passed a resolution in favour of •peace on just principles, including no trans'erence of territory without the consent ot inhabitants affected.
