BOWLING
The local bowling green was closed yesterday, as far as competition games are concerned. it is the intention of the committee to do some top dressing this year, and Mr Jickell, of Palmerston N., has kindly consented to lake the levels. It is not known when Mr Jickell will visit Foxton, but until he does come down members can still continue playing. There was a good attendance yesterday afternoon, both on the green and the croquet lawns. The final of the competition for the Golder Cup was played, McColl (9) beating Nye (9) by 31 to 21. The following are the winners of the various competitions ;
