FUELER’S PICTURES

A feature of the change ol programme at the Town Hall this evening is a big Keystone tarce, “The New York Girl,” a huge budget of hearty laughter, supported by "The Geisha,” a splendid two part drama of an officer in Japan ; “Love and Flames,” is a scream of burlesque; the latest Topical Budget ; “The Crime of Cam,” a powerful Vitagraph drama ; and “Oh ! That Jack of Diamonds,” a delightful blend of whimsical and uproarious comedy. In Monday’s change of pro-' gramme the management presents the latest success, acted by Sydney Drew and Clara Kimbell Young, “Goodness Gracious,” a brec-zy burlesque of melodrama, satirising worn out plots. Gwendoline is the heroine’s name. She does all the impossible things a romantic heroine of the old time dramas did. The villain pursues her, and pursues her—but she is the heroine, and so escapes his vile clutches. Aha I She becomes an orphan, of course, but the v 111ia 11 still pursues her. Ha ! ha! She marries a millionaire’s son because she is virtuous and poor. Still the villain pursues her. She and her husband are driven into the pitiless, cruel, cold, sn-ow ! The villain murders several people and attaches the blame on the hero. He is tried for murr derr, but the murdered ones come to life to confront the villain. Ha ! Ha ! Asa vehicle for laughter this huge joke is the funniest ever produced. Supported by an excellent selection of the latest cinematograph gems. “Home Sweet Home” will be screened on Wednesday, 24th, with special musical accompaniments. Watch local paper. ROYAL PICTURES. As usual, to-night’s programme at the Royal will include another instalment of that great picture, “Lucille Love,” The star item of the ordinary programme is “The Live Wire,” which introduces you to the Kocksea electrical works, where John Blake, the young assistant engineer, arouses the jealousy of his superior through the affections of Dora Steam, the daughter of the manager of the works. The story is consecutive and rapid in its action, and carries through it a powerful love theme. The finish of the drama is sensational, and include!, the discharge of a,OOO volts of electricity. These two special stars are supported by other tip-top films. Special for Monday ; “Sinews of War.”
