METHODIST CHURCH.

The Rev. Mr Rowe will take charge of the Foxton-Shannon Methodist circuit early in April. The circuit in future will be without the services of a home missionary at Shannon. The Rev. Mr Crawford, of Shannon, will probably be transferred to a South Island charge. During his ministry at Shannon he has won for himself the esteem not only of bis own people, but the public generally, and his departure from Shannon will he a severe loss. He is a good citizen and a faithful pastor. Next Sunday a harvest thanksgiving service will be held in the local church, and the preacher for the day will be the Rev. Mr Abbey, of Devin. On Tuesday evening the harvest-thanksgiving social will take place. Mr Craw ford will occupy the Rev. Mr Abbey’s pulpit at Devin next Sunday.
