A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at the residence ot Mrs J. The bride, who was given away by ber brother, Mr W. Ferries, looked very dainty attired in a navy blue costume and bat to match and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. She was attended by ber sister as bridesmaid, Miss E. Ferries, who wore a handsome brown costume. Mr McPherson, of Levin, acted in the capacity of best man and the Rev. Jas. Crawford was the officiating clergyman. Alter _ the ceremony, a number ot friends were entertained at a sumptuous repast when the usual toasts were honoured. The young couple were the recipients of numerous and costly presents, including several cheques. The happy couple left by the afternoon train for Feilding, amidst a shower of confetti and rice, where the honeymoon was spent, afterwards taking up their residence in Foxton. We join in wishing the young couple happiness and prosperity in their future life.
