WEDDING.
A pretty but quiet wedding took place on Thursday, in the Venerable Bede’s Church .Shannon, when the Rev. Chas. Palmer performed the marriage ceremony between Violet, the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs McSavney, of Paiaka, and Hugh Charles, third son of Mrs Theo. Easton, of Foxton. The bride, who was oiven away by her father and attended by her sister, Gladyce, as bridesmaid, looked charming in a white silk dress with the usual veil and orange blossoms. Mr E, C. R. Spring officiated as groomsman. At the close of the ceremony the bridal parly were entertained at a sumptuous wedding breakfast at the residence of Mr and Mrs Mason, The happy couple, who were the recipients of a large number of handsome and costly presents, left by motor car for a wedding tour trip to Wellington.
