FOOTE—HUDSON
A pretty wedding was clebrated in St. Mary’s Church Foxton, by the R.ev. Father Cronin on Monday last, February 15th, the contracting parties being Mr E. J. W. Foote, third son of the late Mr George Foote, of Wellington, and Miss Bertha Ellen Dudson, fourth daughter of the late Mr Prank Dudson, of Foxton. The Wedding March was nicely played as tbe party entered, and left, tbe church, by Mr Bertbold. The ceremony was followed by Nuptial Mass. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Albert W. Dudson, was attired in cream radiaala, wore the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a pretty shower bouquet of white flowers and maiden hair ferns. She was attended by her sister, Miss J. Dudson, as chief bridesmaid, attired in pale blue costume with black facings and buttons, and black hat to match, and carrying a pretty bouquet ot white sweet peas and blue flowers ; also three little nieces ot the bride, Misses Eunice and Edna Dudson and Miss Doris Whibley. The elder bridesmaid wore a white embroidered dress, with mob cap with wreath of blue flowers, and basket of blue flowers, and the two younger ones white embroidered frocks, with mob cap with apricot wreath of flowers, and also carried baskets of flowers to match. Mr Oliver Foote attended as best man. The. bridegroom's present to the bride was a silver mounted handbag, and to the chief bridesmaid a ruby dug, and the little tots gold brooches. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a suit case. The bride’s mother wore a silk taffeta costume, with black hat trimmed with black tulle and apricot 1! nvers. and the bridegroom’s mother a grey costume, with hat to match and ostrich feather. After the ceremony, a reception was held at “Hinemoa,” the residence of the bride’s mother, chiefly relatives being present. The happy couple lelt by motor in la.: afternoon on their honeymoon, after which Mr and Mrs Foote will take up their residence in Wellington. The presents weie numerous and costly.
