The first round of the School competition was commenced on Monday in the school ground, McAllister’s team playing Robinson’s. Robinson’s team batted first and chiefly through the agency of Walls (14) and M. Robinson (13) compiled 37. The tendency to "slog” was the downfall of McAllister’s team, who only knocked up 9.
