BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Borough Treasurer reported as follows at Monday night’s meeting of the Borough Council: I have to report that the follow ing amounts have been received since last meeting and placed to credit as under: For district fund account ,£1,779 15s nd, and for cemetery account £2. The balances of the accounts as per Bank of N.Z. pass books are: District fund account, credit, ,£619 13s nd, and cemetery account, credit £7 5s 6d. The following is the position of the various ledger accounts: Cemetery £7 5s 6d, contractors’ deposits ,£4, gas works ,£619 14s 3d, Whirokino bridge loan £9 8s rod, roads and streets loan £44 6s nd, Shannon bridge loan £lO 6s 6d, council chambers loan £3l 9s id, Whirokino bridge additions loan £6 5s nd, roads and streets lean No. 2 £26 19s Bd, Library £8 is nd, reserves £142 ss, sanitation £lO2 6s 9d, Town Hall Pictures £56 ns 2d, all in credit, totalling £1,069 is yd, and the general account £B6 14s yd, gas works loan account £6O 9s yd, beach road loan account £3O 9s sd, Town Hall £254 8s yd, and imprest cash £io, at debit, a total of £442 2S 2d.
