ENTERTAINMENTS.

ROYAL PICTURES. As usual, an interesting programme will be screened at the Royal to night. The star film, “A Wartime Mother’s Sacrifice,” is splendidly mounted and well acted, with a good plot. ‘‘Captain Mary Brown” is by the famous Vitagraph Company, which is sufficient guarantee of its excellence. "The Last Shot” is also a drama of more than ordinarymerit. The remaining films are well varied. For Saturday night the star will be, "A Pack of Cards,” illustrating life in the snow-swept regions of Canada.
