On Saturday afternoon the-Ter-race End green was officially opened, the Foxton Club being represented by one rink. The afternoon was occupied with a match, President v. Vice-Presi-dent’s, the former winning by no points to ioo. The Foxton rink played for the President’s team, and the team and scores being as under : Nye Innes Spring Whitehead D. Whibley Wilson Rimmer(s) 23 Hodgins (s) 13 A match for the Dixon Cup was played at Otaki on Saturday, between Otaki (holders) and Palmerston (challengers) the latter were defeated by 24 points to 17.
