MANAWATU ROWING CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the Manawatu Rowing Club was held in the Coronation Hall supperroom on Thursday evening. The president, Mr B. G. Gower, occupied the chair and there was a fair attendance.

The annual balance disclosed a credit of about ,£l7, and the statement of assets and liabilities showed the assets at and liabilities nil.

The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Mr B. G. Gower; vicepresidents, Messrs A. H. Boyes and J. L. Harvey ; secretary, Mr R. A. Dixon ; treasurer, Mr HE. Baughen ; captain, Mr H. McKegney; vice-captain, Mr R. Ashmore; committee, Messrs K. Furrie, H. Hamer and C. Burgess ; auditors, Messrs L. Freeman and T. White.

The arranging of the date for the opening day was left to the committee with a recommendation that a picnic should be held on that day.

The secretary was asked to make enquiries when in Wellington at the end of the week as to the price of a new pleasure boat.

Details in connection with the club’s affairs were arranged and the meeting terminated.
