HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.

The High Commissioner cabled yesterday afternoon as follows :

The hemp market continues dull. Manila prices have declined to £25. The output of Manila for the week was 20,000 bales. There is nothing doing in New Zealand hemp. Prices are nominal at last quotations. The slock of New Zealand hemp and tow on 30th September was 1400 tons. The sisal market remains very flat, present quotations being equal to £l9 c.i.f. London for fair average quality.
