WAR NEWS.

The German advance in France is nearing Paris, The seat of Government has been removed to Bordeaux, and citizens are leaving the city in order not to interfere with the defence. The Germans have taken Amiens. ■ The Russians are advancing rapidly and have occupied Lemberg. An unending stream of French troops are passing into Paris, for the defence of the city. The War Office reports additional British casualties : Killed—--18 officers, 52 men ; wounded—--8 officers, 812 men; missing—B6 officers, 4672 men. The missing include those unaccounted for, unwounded prisoners and stragglers.
