ENTERTAINMENTS.
ROYAL PICTURES. Another good programme has been obtained for to-night’s entertainment at the Royal. The star film, “A Leak in the Foreign Office,” is one of the internationally famous stories in the Blue Book written by Clarence Hubert New and adapted by Lloyd F. Lonergan. As a drama it contains all the essentials of success, the atmosphere of which is produced from the intrigues of a very brilliant society circle. The ending of the story leaves one invigorated in heart and brain. Other films include, ‘‘Topical Budget,” depicting happenings of interest to everybody ; “The Thwarted Plot,” a play telling an extraordinary story of great interest; ‘‘The Compact,” a vigorous and convincing story of power and force ; and several good comics and a water study of radiant beauty showing the ‘‘Torrents of Pan.” On Monday night the star picture is, ‘‘ Black Heart and White,” a film of 3,172 feet in length, featuring Ida Nielson. MUNICIPAL PICTURES. The chief item for to-night’s programme is, ‘‘His Solemn Oath,” and is an unusual play of tragic power, being replete with deep feeling and thrilling episodes. It is exciting, sensational and spectacular. The other items are, ‘‘The Warwick Chronicle,” topical; “The Indian Ambuscade,” drama; “Morocco, past and present,” scenic; “Little Kaintuck,” drama ; “The White Rose,” comedy ; “In Old Brittany,” scenic ; “An Exchange in Heads,” comic.
