The Rev D. C. Bates wires today as follows : Wind, westerly strong to gale veering by west to south after about 24 to 36 hours. The weather appears, likely to be cloudy and unsettled ; rain probable ; barometer falling but rising after about 24 hours. Sea considerable, tides moderate.
