BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Borough Treasurer’s report, as follows, was submitted at last night’s meeting of the Borough Council: — “The following amounts have been received since last meeting, and placed to credit as under : To district fund account ,£434 13s id and to cemetery account £22 10s. The position of these accounts at 30th June was, district fund account debit balance £24.2 13s 3d, cemetery account credit 4s. The following are the balances of the various accounts: Cemetery account £io 4s, contractors’ deposits .£4, gas works 2s yd, Whirokino bridge loan interest £2 18s pd, roads and streets loan interest £3O 3s qd, Shannon bridge loan interest £1 18s Bd, Whirokino bridge add. loan interest £g 14s qd, roads and streets loan No. 2 interest .£32 7s 2d, library £5 gs 4d, reserves £126 ns 4d, town hall pictures ,£36 15s 3d, town hall rink .£lO 8s qd, all In credit, a total of .£641 14s 4d. General account £267 14s 4d, Council Chamber loan interest ,£6O, gas works loan interest £351 18s sd, sanitation £77 2S 6d, town hall ,£143 2s 3d and imprest cash ,£lO, ate at debit, a total of £909 17s 6d.
