WEDDING BELLS.
EI.L WOOD-—SMALL.
A pretty wedding was celebrated at All Saints’ Church on Wednesday, June 17th, when Daniel, second son of Mr C. Ellwood, of Kendal, England, was united in holy bonds of wedlock to Isabel Mary, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs George Small, of Foxton. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming, attired in a brown velveteen costume and brown hat with Ostrich feathers, and wore a handsome set of furs and carried an ivory prayer book, the gifts of her sister, Miss I. Small. She was attended by her sisters as bridesmaids, Misses Ivy and Doris Small, attired in blue and pink silk spot chrystalline, trimmed with cream lace and pearl trimming, respectively, and they wore dainty lace caps with bunches of flowers, they also carried bouquets of pale pink and white chrysanthemums and fern leaves and wore gold wish-bone brooches, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr H. Walden, of Wellington, officiated as best man and Mr L. Richardson as groomsman. The ceremony was performed by the vicar, the Rev. G. V. Wood* ward, while Miss Jenks presided at the organ. The bridal party were literally smothered with rice and confetti as they proceeded from the church to the cars. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at breakfast at the residence of the bride’s parents, where the usual felicitous toasts were honoured. The presents were numerous and costly and included several cheques. The happy couple left by the afternoon train, amidst showers of rice and confetti, for the north where the honeymoon is being spent, afterwards taking up their residence in Foxton. We join in wishing the bride and bridegroom long life, health and happiness, In the evening a large number of friends were entertained in the Masonic Hall, when dancing interspersed with songs was indulged in and altogether a most enjoyable time was spent by all present,
