Proposed by Cr Speirs, seconded by Cr Coley: That the resigna- ‘ don of the gas manager be with regret. ’•I Proposed by Cr Freeman, sec;'’onded by Cr Kempster: That applications be called for the position as working manager for the Foxton gas works, to close at Foxton at 7 p.tn. on Monday, June 29th, 1914. Proposed by Cr Freeman, seconded by Cr Read:. That the salary of the gas manager be 5s per week, and two shillings per week bicycle allowance. Also that he be allowed an average of 1,500 feet of gas per month for bis house, free of cost.
