A HUNDRED YEARS PEACE.

BRILLIANT PAGEANT BALL. MAORI CHIEFS PRESENT. London, June 11. i The ball arranged to celebrate the hundred years’ peace between America and Britain at Albert Hall was a brilliant spectacle. There were wonderful costumes • and the hall was arranged in an elaborate red, white and blue ■ scheme. The New Zealand party was arranged by Miss McKenzie and included the Maori chiefs. The ball was arranged to represent Columbus with two captains standing at the poop of the Santa Maria watching a procession of Indians, Pilgrim Fathers, Quaker and French and Dutch pioneers. The second procession symbolised the English speaking people of the earth, and included an Australian party arranged by Lady Reid, wherein Dr. Mawsou and other native-born people participated.
