BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Borough Treasurer reported at last night's Council meeting as follows : I have to report that the following amounts were received during the past month and placed to credit as under : For district fund account £244 7s, and for cemetery account £9 5«- The following was the position of the accounts at the Bank of New Zealand on Ist inst, viz., district fund account, cr., £BB 6s 2d, cemetery account, cr.. £6 17s 2d. The positions of the various funds were as under Cemetery account £6 17s 2d, contractors’ deposits £4, gas works £298 12s 4d, Whirokino bridge loan, £2 18s gd, roads and streets loan £3O 3s od. Shannon bridge loan £1 18s Sd, Whirokino bridge additions loan £9 14s qd, roads and streets loan No. 2 £32 7s 2d, gas works loan £6 4s id, library £ls 3s 4d, reserves £lO9 10s qd, sanitation £6l 8s rod, Town Hall pictures £25 5s 4d, Town Hall rink £ll Ss 6d, all in credit, a total of £606 13s sd, and the general account ,£399 M s 11 d, Town Hall ,£l2l is Bd, and imprest cash £lO, at debit, a total of SUMMARY. £ s. d.
