BOWLING CLUB SOCIAL.
The euchre party and dance held in the Masonic Hall on Tuesday evening under the auspices o£ the local Bowling Club was a most enjoyable and successful function. The attendance was very large. The first part of the evening was devoted to euchre, the prize winners being : gentlemen, Mr W. E. Bullard first, Mr H. Stunell second : ladies, Mrs Meyer first, and Miss King second. The booby prizes fell to Mr Spring, senr., and Miss E. Ross, After the euchre, the prizes won in the croquet competitions were presented to the respective winners by the president of the Club, Mr H. Witchell. A very tasty supper, provided by the lady members of the Club, was banded round, and the hall was cleared for dancing, the music for which was isupplied by Mr W, Larkins. Mr F. Woods made an efficient M.C. Altogether the affair was one of the most enjoyable yet held. The prizes for the euchre party were presented by Mesdames Nye, Healey, McColl, and Miss Edwards, to whom, together with the ladles who provided the refreshments, the Club tenders its thanks.
