MASONIC.

The installation of Bro. J. Ross as W.M. of the local Masonic Lodge and investiture of officers took place, last evening. The Provincial Grand Master, Right Wor. Bro. Peterkin, was in attendance, arid assisted with the ceremony. The Installing Master was R. Wor. Bro. J. A. Nash, and Wor. Bro. Hornblow officiated as Director of Ceremonies. Visiting officers and brethren were present from different parts of the district. The following officers were installed:—W.M., Bro. J. Ross; 1.P.M., W. Bro. Bullard; J.W., Bro. H. Berry; Chaplain, Wor. Bro. Senior; secretary, Bro. Hodgson ; treasurer, W. Bro. M. Perreau; S.D., Bro. Stevenson; J.D., Bro. J. Speirs ; 1.G., Bro. C. Speirs; organist, Bro. G. H. Stiles ; D.C., W. Bro. Kent-John-ston ; S.S., Bro. Woodroofe ; J.S., Bro. W. Renton ; tyler, W. Bro. de Ridder; auditors, W, Bros. Fraser and Healey. Wor. Bro. Bullard was presented with a handsome P.M’s. Jewel by the Lodge. The lodge subsequently entertained the visitors and lady friends at a very enjoyable social. The dance music was supplied by Mr Berthold, and the catering was in the capable hands of W. Bro. M. Perreau. The M’s.C. were Wor. Bros. Fraser and Bradley. Speeches were delivered by the Provincial Grand Master and Right Wor. Bro. J. A. Nash.
