MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.
There were present at the monthly meeting of the Mcutoa Drainage Board, Messrs Gower (chairman), Robinson and Barber. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Easton and Hammond.
The Clerk reported the overdraft on general account at 19s 7d, and the credit to interest account at ,£32 17s Accounts amounting to ,£36 173 3d were passed for payment. The necessary resolution for an overdraft of ,£3OO from the Bank of New Zealand was passed. A telegram was read from the Under-Secretary of Internal Affairs, advising that the matter of rating was under consideration, and would be decided in a few days.
The overseer reported on the drain work since last meeting and the matter of overflow from artesian wells was brought under notice and left for discussion at a future meeting. It was resolved to hold a special meeting to deal with the matter of rating and the meeting terminated,
