WEDDING.

ROBERTS—STUNELL. At the local Methodist Church terday mornug an exceedingly pretty wedding was celebrated when Miss Rosetta Mary Stunell, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Stunell, of Foxton, was married to Mr Edwin George Roberts, late of Worcester, England, The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr Coatsworth and Miss Coatswortb presided at the organ. The bride entered the church with her father, by whom she was given away, and looked very nice in her pretty bridal gown of while silk crepe de chine, with pearl and satin trimmings. She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet, the gift of Mrs Walsh. She was attended by three little maids, Misses Merle Browning and Nellie Guthrie (Feilding), ueices of the bride, and Jean MeColl (Foxton), wearing pretty white embroidered frocks with white satin ribbons and juliet caps. They each carried a basket of scarlet dahlias and autumn leaves and their gifts from the bridegroom were gold bangles to two of them and a gold brooch to little Miss Browning. Mr C. Stunell officiated as best man. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a peridot pendant and necklet and the bride’s present to the bridegroom a suit case. After the ceremony the bride’s parents entertained a number of friends at their residence. The health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by the Rev Mr Coatsvvoith and responded to by the bridegroom. Mr S. Read proposed the toast of the the bride’s parents, Mr Stunell replying, and the health of the little tots who attended as bridesmaids was proposed by Mr Whibley. The great esteem in which the contracting parties are held was evidenced by the number of presents received totalling over 80, and including a cheque from the bride’s father. These were nicely arranged in the sitting - room. The bride’s going away dress was a navy blue costume with a saxe blue velvet hat. Numerous telegrams of congratulation were received. Mr and Mrs Roberts left by motor car during the afternoon for Shannon en route to Napier and Gisborne where the honeytpoou is to be spent.
