CATHOLIC BAZAAR.

The Catholic Bazaar was officially opened by His Worship the Mayor (Mr G. H. Stiles) on Tuesday evening, when there was a very good attendance. Those responsible for the function are to be congratulated on the effective manner in which the stalls and hall interior generally has been arranged, the whole presenting a very pleasing spectacle. The stall holders appear to be doing good business, and great interest is being evinced in the different raffles, the prizes for which are valuable works of art. The sporting section are well catered for, there being games and amusements of all descriptions. To night the majority of the larger and most valuable articles will be disposed of, and consequently the attendance will no doubt be a record one. A special feature of the side shows will be the pertormance of the tango dance, and there will also be rendered a number of vocal and instrumental items.

To-morrow night numbered admission tickets will be sold at the door, the butts of which will be raffled in the usual way during the evening, and the lucky drawer presented with a valuable work of art.
