TOWN CLERK’S REPORT.
The Town Clerk’s report, as under, was adopted at last night’s Borough Council meetiug : “I have to report that the Council's roadmen have been employed as under during the past month : Cleaning up at rubbish tip, cleaning water channels in Main, Clyde, Union and Wharf Streets ; the triangle has been attended to ; holes in Avenue have been attended to ; ashphahing foopaths in Maiu and Union Streets. The drains will all be cleaned out shortly, and works authorised to be gone on with after the end of the financial year will be put in hand as soon as the drains are cleaned out. Some of the trees in the cemetery which have grown too big will receive attention. lu view of the reply received from the Baud re playing at the skating, I would suggest that immediate steps be taken to try and arrange with the Band to become a real municipal band.”
