BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at Monday night’s Council meeting that the following amounts were received during the past month and placed to credit, viz., to district fund account ,£375 ns 6d, and to cemetery account £3 I S S » The balances at the Bank of New Zealand are as under: District Fund Account, credit, 15s 3d, and cemetery account, credit, £2l 16s qd. The following are the positions of the various accounts : Gas works 9s yd, Town Hall £173 as 6d, sanitation cemetery ,£2l 16s qd, roads and streets loan £l7 28 Whirokino bridge add. loan £9 qs 7u* library, £7 is id, roads and streets No. 2 loan £5 7s sd, contractors’ deposits £4, Whirokino bridge loan £1 18s sd, Shannon bridge loan, £1 8s 6d, all in credit, totalling £797 is 3d. and imprest cash £lO, general £123 iqs 9dj| gasworks loan £9 19s nd, and Beach road loan £4 10s lid at debit, a total of £l4B 5s 7 d.
