BOY’S NARROW ESCAPE.

Wanganui, January 30. A lad named Wilson, coming to Wanganui by the Auckland express, was jerked from the plattorm of the train at Porewa, near Marton, yesterday, and was not missed by those on the train. He fell heavily on his head and hands, but walked some distance to a house, where he collapsed and be« came unconscious. Medical aid was sought, and the lad was subsequently brought to Wanganui Hospital. No bones were broken, and the sufferer is progressing.
