BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows : i beg to report that the following amounts were received during the past month aud placed to credit as under : For district fund account, 6s 2d, and for cemetery account ,£3 17s 6d. The balances at the Bank of N.Z. on December 31st were : District fund account, credit, ,£747 5s 2d, and cemetery account, credit, £22 os od. The positions of the various accounts are: Gas works ,£259 13s 2d, sanitation ,£177 X 23 6d, Town Hall ,£r66 12s rod, reserves £B7 r2s id, roads aud streets loan £76 2s od, cemetery £2l 2s 6d, Whirokino bridge loan ,£l9 iSs od, Library 18s Bd, VVhirokino bridge add. loan ,£ls 16s 6d, Shannon bridge £ll 9s 3d, roads and streets loan No. 2 £lO 14s nd, contractor’s deposit .£l, all in credit, totalling ,£866 ros yd, and General account 9s 2d, gas works loan account £9 19s rrd, Beach road loan account £\ ros rrd, and imprest cash £lO, at debit, a total of ,£129 os od.
