MANAWATU MEETING.
The Manawatu Racing Club's spring meeting was commenced yesterday. The weather was gloriously fine and the attendance was a record one. The grounds and appointments were in splendid order. The following are- the results:—

Taratua Hack Welter. Sir Donald i, Arlington 2, Te Houhou 3. Fitzherbert Handicap. Bandiera 1, Sanguinary 2, Lady Louisa 3.
Grandstand Handicap. Mummer i, Coromandel 2, Lady Nolan 3.
TO-DAY’S RESULTS,
Kelvin Hack. Braeburn 1, Hiwitapu 2, Te Houhou 3. All started. Time, imin 47sec. Tiritea Hurdles.—Marble Head 1, Rill 2, Taurangi 3. All started. Time, 3mm 22sec. Higbden Hack Handicap. Heather 1, Ilad’s Hero 2, Pavlova 3. Scratched; Aratiatia, Wailaud and Sir Fisher.
