SALVATION ARMY.

A very interesting meeting was held in the Masonic Hall on Monday night, when the junior portion of the Salvation Army had their night out. The programme included : Company songs by the children, recitation, by Miss A. Brown, Master T. Jeffries and Miss G. Knapp, solo by Miss A. Thomas, duet by Misses Brown and Thomas. Ensign Rimmer, who is on a visit to Foxton with his wife, presented the young people with their prizes—of which about thirty were awarded, including three special books given by the Commissioner to the young people collecting the highest amount for the late annual Self Denial Appeal. The dux of the Sunday School was Miss Amy Brown. During the evening one of the soldier comrades in the person of Bro. C. Spear was farewelled. A vote of thanks was moved by Captain Smith to all who had so kindly helped to make the evening such a happy one.

Get your piano where you can rely on quality and value. Hundreds of people are taking advantage of the Dresden Piano Company’s time payment system; and shipment upon shipment of pianos and organs is coming in month after month. “The Dresden” with over thirty years of experience, and a remarkable turnover, is ever able to sell the best goods at the lowest market rate. But it is not satisfied with merely gaining a new customer; it aims at making another business friend—and usually does so. Now, with the Dresden Piano Co. Ltd., absolute quality is guaranteed. Every piano issued is perfect material and workmanship. Where will you find better instruments than the Broadvvood, the Lipp, the Ronisch and the Steinway —they are indeed four great pianos ! Or two finer organs than The Bell and The Imperial—they are incomparable ! You should certainly either call on or write to the Dresden Piano Co. Ltd., Wellington. North Island Manager: M. J. Brookes.
