Yesterday afternoon .a team from the local Dawn Tennis Club visited Shannon and played a return match against the Shannon Club, Foxton was again victorious, winning by eight games to four. Following are the details of the games; — Men’s doubles.—Duukley and Taylor o, v. Henuessy and Jackson 8 ; Caiman and Bovis 5, v. McHattie and Phillips 8 ; Bradley and Russell 7, v. Gabites and Furrie 8.
Men’s singles.—Duukley 6, v. Henuessy 8 : Taylor 5, v. Jackson 8 ; Caiman 5, v. McHattie 8; Bovis 8, v. Phillips 6 ; Bradley 7, v. Gabites 8. Ladies’ double. Mesdameg Doidge and Pickett 6, v. Misses Wanklyu and McHardie 8, Ladies’ singles.—Mrs Pickett 6, v. Miss Wanklyn 3 ; Mrs Doidge 6, v. Miss McHardie 5; Miss Liudsel 6, v. Miss Bryant 3.
