THE MAYFIELD MURDER.
EXECUTION ON NONDAY.
Christchurch, Dec. 12
Alfred Biddle, convicted of the murder of Mrs Gilley, at Mayfield, will be executed at Lyttelton gaol at 8 o’clock on Monday morning. Christchurch, Dec. 12.
The sheriff’s arrangements for the hanging of the condemned man Biddle ate now complete. It will probably be necessary to carry the man to the gallows as he is a physical wreck. Press reporters will be present at the execution.
