HIGH-CLASS CONCERT.

IN AID OF THE JETTY FUND. An urgent and very necessary requirement at the Beach is a jetty, and to further assist the fund for its erection, an entertainment will be given in the Coronation Hall, Foxton, on Friday, December 19th, by the same party of ladies and gentlemen who provided such a successful entertainment at the Beach on New Year’s Night nearly two years ago. This organisation is Palmerston’s premier amateur concert party. The programme they have prepared for the 19th hist, promises to eclipse any of their previous ones. They have already given twelve entire concerts in different places, always in aid of some worthy object, and "The Jesters,as they are familiarly called, possess some exceptional talent, comprising singers, dancers and comedians. Mr S. W. Oliver is stage manager, and Mr J. N. Whitehead musical director, and in such capable hands Foxton residents can look forward to a real enjoyable evening, besides having the satisfaction of assisting a good cause. The programme appears elsewhere in this issue.
