THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows: Manila hemp market fluctuated a good deal during week, but closed quietly. Steady shippers offering very small as Manila reports indicate active market at one or two pounds higher than quotations. Manila ss, forward 15s, output 16,000. New Zealand hemp market easier for good fair otherwise quiet, but steady at close of market, sellers good fair 1 os, fair .£25 10s, buyers probably five shillings less.
