TOWN CLERK'S REPORT.
At Monday night’s Council meeting the Town Clerk presented hi* monthly report, which was read and is as follows :
“I beg to report that the following works have been attended to during the past month, footpaths and channels cleaned in Clyde, Avenue and Main Streets, concrete kerb and channelling in Union St., metalling Avenue footpath and Harbour St., widening footpath in Main St. towards flaxmills; this latter will be asphalted as soon as possible to bring it in conformity with the rest ot the footpath. The footpath in Avenue will be put in proper order before long. The works authorised at Victoria Park have been attended to and the paiuting of the rotunda and gates is in hand. The successful tenderer for paiuting at Victoria Park was Mr Admo r e at ss, also the successful tenderer for right to sell sweets and soft drinks at Coronation Hall was Mr M. Perreau at *8”
