HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.
The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows:
The Manila market is quiet with prices slightly weaker. The spot market is steady at ,£3O ios, Octo-bei-December and Jamiary-March ,£29 xos to £29 15s. The output for the week was 31,000 bales. The New Zealand market continues dull. Good lair £2B 15s, fair £26 15s ; prices are ior any position. Buyers probably 5s less. The stock at the end of October was 2275 tons. The Mexican sisal market prospects are uncertain and it is impossible to form any opinion at present as to its probable influence upon the Manila market. Business been done with fair average qujiuy at £27. The German East African market is weaker in sympathy and also as a result of heavy arrivals. Present quotations £29 for first grade with a decline of £4 in about two mouths.
