Miss Ivy Russell was presented with a silver-mounted biscuit barrel by the children on her de* partment on Friday last. Stella Spring, on behalt of the schoolmates, made the presentation. Miss Russell left for her home iu Wanganui, where she will be married in three weeks lime to the Rev S. B. Madin, who is in charge ot the Presbyterian Church of Motu, near Gisborne. Miss McMurray, of Wanganui, succeeds Miss Russell as pupil teacher.

The Poplar flaxtuill, which has undergone some extensive repairs caused by the recent breakdown, will resume work towards the end of the week.
