The Anglican Bishop of Wellington has authorised the following collect to be said in all the churches of the diocese during the the present industrial unrest : “Almighty Father, creator of laud and sea and all that is therein, who in Thy providence has appointed to every man his work, assuage, we humbly beseech Thee, the present unhappy strife and contention between those who are engaged in the labours of industry and those who employ their labour ; deliver both employers and employed from all greed and covetousness and lawlessness, and grant that they, seekiue only that which Is just and right, may live and work together in brotherly union and concord, to their own well-being and the prosperity ot this country ; through Jesus Christ our Eord. Amen.’’
