THE HUNTLY STRIKE.
THE STREETS PICKETED.
FIVE HUNDRED OUT,
Auckland, Oct. 20,
In accordance with the decision arrived at on Saturday, the Huntly coal miners struck to-day. The streets were picketed before the mine whistles blew this morning, and several men were persuaded not to go to work. Over 500 men are on strike.
The directors met this morning and decided to place a notice explaining the men’s liabilities at the pithead.
